Master in Arts in Digital Marketing Communication degree was developed in collaboration with Brand Communication Institute (BCI). It offers students to become a part of a network of professionals, academics and classmates from different cultures. During synchronized courses, students can get feedback about their own projects as well as the content of the course.

MA in Digital Marketing Communication Program, with academic and professional skills to manage and develop successful digital communication activities, prepares students for decision-making positions in related fields (digital chief officers, digital marketing experts, managing partners). Graduates are eligible to continue their studies in doctorate degrees, such as Doctor of Arts (DA) or Doctor of Business Administration (DBA).
Modules start at 18:00 CET on weekdays and at 11:00 CET on Saturdays. “Optional” summer semester takes place at the faculty. The modules are spread into 3 semesters. Our lecturers are available for consultations.
Modules are taught only in English.
Modules
Students need to pass 3 core modules, followed by 6 elective modules, and complete Graduation Project. Graduation projects are tutored one-to-one with an academic lecturer. Students can also select courses from MA in Strategic Brand Management program.
The program offers 160 hours of content (60% live courses, interactive case studies | 20% selected articles, reports, e-books | 20% screenings, podcasts, webinars, interviews).

Marketing in Digital Space
The course focuses on the latest growth-driven marketing practices in digital space. It covers all essential steps: digital marketing strategy creation (brand audit, competitor research, customer insights, persona – positioning creation, goal setting, growth funnel creation), website / app engagement, search engine optimization, content marketing, e-mail marketing, social media marketing, paid media management, earned media management.
After completing the module, students will:

Omnichannel Marketing Communication Management
The course focuses on the latest marketing communication practices with an omnichannel perspective. All marketing communication functions – from advertising to digital events – is covered. The course combines theory and practice of marketing communication management. In final projects, students put their knowledge to practice. In order to successfully complete the course, the students work on real projects for a company.
After completing the module, students will:

Digital Marketing Cases from Boardroom
In the course, CMOs and CEOs from various industries present digital marketing case analyses. In keynote presentations, they talk about personal experience, explain how they approached the challenges they faced, describe the tools they utilized and show their best practices.

Graduation Project
In the course, students study an area of their interest to a greater extent. They learn how to coordinate an independent investigation and research. During the course, the students have a one-to-one meetings with their academic supervisors.

E-Commerce & Online Business Development
E-commerce, including mobile commerce, not only changes the marketplace, but also changes the way how customers behave. E-commerce and its business development plays a crucial role in digital communication landscape. Therefore, the course teaches how to develop and apply online business plans and understand e-commerce active principles. During the course, e-commerce tips on online platforms (especially Alibaba.com) are provided.
After completing the module, students will:

Social Media & Content Marketing
Students receive an integrative framework in order to develop a social media campaign. They gain the ability to design, manage and track social media marketing activities. They also study marketing communication (Facebook, Instagram) to get practical information and achieve Facebook Blueprint Certification.

The course helps students to become disciplined and knowledgeable discoverers of customer insights. The fundamentals of the course will be supported by ZMET as well as other researched-based case studies and their application on real situations.

Digital Brand Building & Behavioral Economics
The course covers digital marketing communication innovations and strategies based on data readings, user behaviors and analyses. Search, customer data and organic data are used to understand how to use the data creatively, how to identify the influences of cognitive processes on behavior and how to apply the outcomes on performance-based marketing actions.
After completing the module, students will:
- understand basics of cognitive processes and behavioral economics

- be able to create an insight and a strategy based on users’ behavior and data
User Experience Design
All the digital professionals have to acquire necessary knowledge and skill set in order to manage user-oriented design and development processes. The course aims to stress the awareness of relevant themes and provide the knowledge and skills necesssary to manage a user interface with solid guidelines. During the course, students are taught research and design techniques used in user-centered research and design process.
After completing the module, students will:
- understand and analyze the essential concepts of user experience and interaction design
- take part in an interdisciplinary user experience design project team
- apply the principles of user experience design in the context of marketing communication and digital product development
Performance & Search Engine Marketing
The course focuses on using the search engine marketing tools to meet marketing objectives. Students learn about search engines and develop skills necessary for performing and evaluating decisions (setting objectives and expectations, segmentation and non-lapping ad groups, effective keywords, metrics for performance measurements, etc.). The students also deeply study Google and get prepared to achieve Google certifications.
After completing the module, students will:
