EIASM gives students access to major academic databases through a Czech research library, as well as a structured thesis support process that walks you from a topic approval to a defense. This page details what is available and what you can expect.
EIASM students do not write theses to fill a shelf. The work is built around real questions from real organizations – the kind that makes the degree a step forward in your career, not just a step toward graduation.
You select a thesis topic connected to your professional context, current work or future career direction – approved by the study department and shaped with your supervisor. The most rewarding theses answer questions you actually want answered.
Most students write applied research, comparative studies, business project proposals or in-depth case analyses. The common thread: every thesis is grounded in real organizations, real markets and real decisions.
Many students publish their thesis as a book, present findings to company leadership or use the analysis to inform real strategic decisions at their workplace. A well-chosen thesis becomes a professional asset, not a forgotten document.
EIASM students have on-request access to TechLib (Czech National Library of Technology), one of the largest academic libraries in Central Europe – which subscribes to the same paid databases used by leading research universities.
Login credentials are provided on request, giving you access to Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, Springer, Wiley, EBSCOhost, Emerald, ProQuest and many other major paid databases throughout your studies.
All course materials, assignments and Research Methodology course are delivered through Moodle – accessible 24/7, fully asynchronous, with apps for iOS or Android, with progress tracking and a direct contact with the study department.
Students can also use major open-access repositories – DOAJ, DOAB, arXiv, PubMed, OAPEN, OpenAIRE – freely available without any login and useful for international and cross-disciplinary research.
Writing a thesis is the most demanding part of any postgraduate degree – and the part where a clear support matters the most. EIASM provides a structured process, from topic approval to public defense, built around a methodology course and 4 distinct supporting roles for every thesis.
For every thesis, a student takes Research Methodology course on Moodle – covering topic selection, academic structure, citations, plagiarism, formatting and defense preparation.
A written work is a part of study paths. Thesis work, dissertation development, literature review, research design and results/discussion structure are all part of the academic progression for advanced work.
EIASM consultant guides your methodology, sources and conclusions in your specific topic area. Students can also suggest their own supervisor and opponent – useful for highly local or specialized topics – or have one assigned by EIASM, typically within a few weeks.
EIASM consultant is assigned to every student, overseeing structure, citations, template compliance and academic standards regardless of where your supervisor is based. The consultant green-lights your thesis before the defense is scheduled.
