In June 2026, EIASM welcomed international students for a short-term course on “Effective Use of IT and AI in Insurance Product Sales: European Experience and Practices in the Czech Republic”, connecting modern technology with financial services expertise.

On June 10, 2026, Tomáš Havran led a lecture on AI Cybersecurity. It focused on how artificial intelligence has transformed the threat landscape. Students learned that the old rule of spotting phishing through grammar mistakes no longer applies – AI now generates flawless, personalized scam messages nearly indistinguishable from legitimate communication.

The lecture explored real-world deepfake cases, including famous Hong Kong incident. Students practiced identifying warning signs of voice and video deepfakes, fake domains and manipulative urgency tactics used in modern frauds.

Participants examined verification protocols – relevant for the financial sector – including the four-eyes rule for payments and secure KYC processes resistant to deepfake onboarding fraud. Practical rules – from multi-factor authentication to password managers – that stop the vast majority of attacks were also discussed. The lecture was very useful for the participants.
