In May 2026, EIASM hosted international students for a short-term course on “Effective Use of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education: European Experience and Current Tools”, addressing one of the most transformative topics in modern academia.

On May 15, 2026, Petr Hájek, Ph.D. delivered a lecture on “LMS Systems and the Use of Artificial Intelligence for Creating Educational Materials”. Students explored how learning management systems serve modern education and how AI integration can enhance course design, content delivery and student engagement.

The lecture was about AI’s practical applications and limitations in academic environments. Mr. Hájek warned against using AI for source discovery or direct text generation due to the risk of factual errors. He stressed its strengths in data processing and analysis – including calculating statistics and cleaning datasets. Students discovered how researchers can effectively leverage AI tools to summarize articles or translate complex passages.

There was also a demonstration of AI applications for curriculum development and creating visual aids. Students learned how to optimize their educational and research workflows while maintaining judgment toward AI-generated content.
