We are proud to announce that, in July 2022, EIASM hosted a short-term tailor-made course for experts from the Banking and Finance Academy of Uzbekistan, based in Tashkent. The programme brought a senior delegation of banking and finance professionals to Prague for an intensive week of academic sessions, institutional visits, and direct dialogue with Czech regulators and policy bodies.

The group was accompanied by Professor Nodir Jumaev, a member of the Uzbek parliament and of the Committee on International Affairs and Inter-Parliamentary Relations. His presence underscored the strategic dimension of the visit — building bridges between the Uzbek financial sector and European institutional practice.

The course was designed specifically for the delegation’s professional profile, combining classroom sessions at EIASM’s Prague campus with on-site visits to key Czech institutions. The participants visited the Czech National Bank, where they engaged with central bank specialists, and Czechinvest, the national investment and business development agency. These institutional visits gave the delegation first-hand exposure to how the Czech Republic structures monetary policy, financial supervision, and foreign investment promotion.

At the conclusion of the programme, every participant received a certificate of completion at a closing ceremony held on EIASM’s campus. The ceremony recognised the delegates’ active participation throughout the week and marked a successful chapter in the cooperation between EIASM and the Banking and Finance Academy of Uzbekistan.

Hosting tailor-made executive courses for international professional groups is a core part of EIASM’s mission. Programmes like this one extend the institute’s academic reach beyond its degree offerings and reflect a wider commitment to international cooperation in business and economic education — one that continues to shape EIASM’s partnerships across Central Asia and beyond.
