In May 2026, EIASM welcomed international students for a short-term course on “Modern Leasing Models in the EU: Development Strategies, Marketing and FinTech Solutions, Insurance”, exploring the evolving landscape of financial services across European markets.

On May 11, 2026, Jindřich Čadík, Ph.D. provided a lecture on Insurance in the Czech Republic, with a comprehensive analysis of Czech insurance market as it transitions into a digital environment. Students examined the current economic landscape, a shift toward pure risk products in life insurance and rising demand for property and liability coverage following natural disasters.

The lecture highlighted the modernization of sales channels, where traditional paper-based methods have been replaced by online platforms, aggregators and biometric signatures. Students learned how professionalization within the industry is accelerating, driven by stricter legislative requirements and reliance on automated self-service tools for consumers.

Dr. Čadík illustrated how insurance providers are adapting to demographic changes, offering specialized products for long-term care and retirement planning for an aging population. The session ended with market forecasts showing lower distribution costs and a centralized, corporate approach to managing insurance portfolios.
