Inside Czech Pension System: Visiting Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs
On January 30 and February 4, 2025, EIASM organized an exclusive two-day visit to the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. Students could see how the Czech pension system works in practice. 
During the visit, students participated in detailed discussions about the latest pension reforms, examining official documents, mathematical models, calculation equations and analytical tables used by policymakers. Ministry experts provided comprehensive explanations of how pension amounts are calculated and what factors influence the benefits. 
This practical learning opportunity allowed students to observe how theoretical concepts are implemented into reality. The detailed breakdown of the system’s mechanics provided valuable insights into the complex relation between contributions, qualifying periods and benefit calculations.
